I'm excited to show some of my work from Marvel's Spider-Man 2!
I was responsible for the environment art throughout the Red Hook neighborhood (the southwest port area of the game's Downtown Brooklyn district). I created a large number of warehouses and industrial buildings for this neighborhood, many of which were later used in other Brooklyn/Queens neighborhoods, from a combination of existing assets made by other artists and new unique models. The Red Hook Grain Terminal was built using mostly existing building kit pieces repurposed to match the existing real-world structure. Many key surfaces on buildings and ground in Red Hook were authored by me as spinoffs of core materials created by Insomniac's dedicated material/texture team. The pier treatment I created for Red Hook, using a combination of new and existing models, was later reused in several other waterfront areas in Brooklyn/Queens.
